The Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus to promote unity. One of his instructions was to remember that we "do not wrestle agains flesh and blood, but agains the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." His warning is that there is a real spiritual battle taking place and to fight spiritual battles we need spiritual weapons.

More than likely, you have heard and/or used these three words. "Get it together" can be challenging words to hear depending on the context and tone in which they are delivered. If you have ever asked the question, "Why me?", you are in good company with the shepherds of the Christmas story. Why would God choose a group of societal outcasts to announce the birth of the Savior to? Why does God choose who He chooses to do anything at all?

When we think of the beginning of Christmas, we tend to think of putting up the Christmas tree or going shopping. In the church, we usually point to the gospels and the birth of Jesus as the start of Christmas. Christmas really began much earlier that that. This message looks back at the covenants of Scripture and how they point to Jesus birth.

In order to understand Bethlehem we must first understand the Garden of Eden. What happened in the Garden is what necessitated Christmas. There is a reason that Jesus had to be born.

One area of our faith that can often be frustrating is hearing from God. As much as we want to, we often have a difficult time hearing Him. So what's the answer? What is the solution? How do we tune our ear to hear God's voice? Listen in to hear how we can better position ourselves to hear His voice.
