We’re continuing our October series, What Would Jesus Say About the Things That Scare Us?—and today, we’re talking about the fear of disappointing others. In Matthew 3:17, God says about Jesus, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” And here’s the amazing part: God said that before Jesus ever did a miracle, preached a sermon, or went to the cross. He was already fully loved—not because of what He had done, but because of who He was. And that’s true for you too.

You don’t have to be perfect for God—or your parents—to be proud of you. When you make mistakes (and we all do!), the best thing you can do is be honest, say you're sorry, and remember that you're still loved. Today’s devotional helps you walk through those hard moments with courage, humility, and grace.
