Odd socks, crocs and the importance of art friends

As an artist, experiencing self-doubt and loneliness is inevitable, especially since many of us tend to work alone. In this episode, Julie shares her struggles with self-doubt and exhibition worries, & how she overcame a recent experience of the 'comparison trap' with the help of her art friends. Phoebe expresses concern that Julie is working too hard (does she ever sleep?) shares some exciting news about her crocs*, and discusses her own current struggle with her work being stuck in the 'messy middle' stage. They also discuss they divided opinion of “should socks match” and introduce The Fail Scale - where are they at this week? If 1 is “whoops I spilled my paint water” and 10 is “whoops I burned down my studio”??  The conversation then shifts to the importance of having 'studio buddies' and how having an artist friend to talk to can help us overcome difficult moments more easily.
