We continue with the battle at Mirror Lake against some angry trees in an effort to save Enko. Upon their return to Willowshore they find someone has been sabotaging the town’s effort to cast the ritual and the hauntings continue to plague the party.  Then before long, it’s finally time to try their hand at the ritual.

Red hijacks the morning to perform a ritual intended to feed the town, while the rest of the party somehow concludes that what Willowshore really needs is a talent show. Those plans are put on hold when a band of kappas arrives with troubling news. The companions rush to Mirror Lake to save an old friend and proceed to roll more thirty-fours than should reasonably be possible.

The party finds what they assume to be themselves though they are strangely transformed trapped by a ritual, their only option is to talk their way out. Not a strength for the eclectic group.

The heroes investigate the strange events at Kawaka’s house, but the mystery resists easy answers, dividing them on how best to proceed. As uncertainty lingers, the winter weeks slip by, and the companions throw themselves into retraining and research, preparing for what comes next.

After the craziness of the ceremonial sacrifices at the kappa festival, the kappas are too distracted to worry about their guests. The heroes decide to camp by the lake before making the hike back to Willowshore. When the party does make it back to the Cerulean Boar, they walk into a different kind of ambush. One they are even less prepared for.

After POPs’ significant sacrifice to the lake, a large tree approaches the party looking for answers. Red proves he cannot handle his alcohol. The party is able to pacify the tree by giving up some gear though the lake isn’t done with them yet.
