Welcome to The Oddity Shop, Where the Bizarre is Always on Sale!  This week in the shop, Zach tells us the story of Michigan's Favorite Cryptid

Ever wonder what lurks in the shadows of Northern Michigan? Well, strap in folks, as we embark on a thrilling chase of the half-man, half-dog creature known as the Dogman. What's that? You've never heard of it? No worries. We're going to fill you in on its mysterious history, including the famous song, 'The Legend,' by Steve Cook, and more.

This week we turn our attention to the Dogman; its physical description, its reported behavior, and its association with other cryptids. We also share an intriguing confession related to the Dogman which left us scratching our heads.

As we round off this episode, we challenge ourselves with some thought-provoking theories about the Dogman. Could it be a Wendigo, a Tulpa, or an Egregor? Or could it be a shape shifter that got stuck in a form? We even contemplate the eerie concept of it being a spiritual creature that has long been feared.

Lastly, we extend our hearts out to you, our dear listeners. Feel free to connect with us on social media and share your thoughts. Join us on this haunting journey into the unknown!

Welcome to The Oddity Shop, Where the Bizarre is Always on Sale!  This week in the shop, Kara tells us about some dancing Irish Ghosts who want some closure.

Prepare yourself for an episode that emerges from the warmth of family traditions, and descends into the cold chills of historical mysteries. Listen as we discuss the chilling history of cholera in 1830s Philadelphia, a plague that consumed the lives of many Irish immigrants who sought a better life on American shores.

Ever heard of Duffy's Cut? We hadn't either until recently. With some digging and decoding, we've managed to unravel a disturbing truth about the death of 57 track laborers during the cholera epidemic of 1832. Through a cocktail of historical documents, forensic evidence, and family anecdotes, we wrestle with the conflicting stories and media reports, aiming to piece together a narrative that has remained buried for nearly two centuries.

As the episode progresses, the plot thickens. The discoveries about Duffy's Cut take a darker turn, as we confront a chilling theory surrounding a potential cover-up of multiple murders. We come face-to-face with evidence of brutal violence, prejudice, and desperation, elements that paint a grisly picture of a forgotten chapter in history.

So enter the shop....If you dare!

Grab onto your seats as we navigate the spectral corridors of Eloise, unearthing its dark history, controversial treatment methods, and the ghostly presences that continue to inhabit the now-abandoned halls.

Adam walks us through his personal encounters within the asylum, with focus on the notorious fifth floor and the haunting procedure room that still echoes with the whispers of the past. The spirit box and Estes method come under our scrutiny as we evaluate their effectiveness in bridging the gap between our world and the spirit realm.
