When we engage anyone, professing Christian or not, it is of the upmost importance that we use the Bible to do so.  Allow the Bible to speak for itself, because it can.  This episode is about an engagement I had with someone on twitter and how being Biblically literate helped me communicate how the Christian faith should be applied practically.  I pray you enjoy and are edified.

We are going to explore some peculiar claims about creation based on a peculiar interpretive method.  Good thing for us that we have leveled up our Biblical Literacy to be able to see through false claims and recognize truth.  

We are ready to apply some basic literacy principles to a sermon so that we can discern truth from lie, doctrine from deception.

Tonight we touch on reading the Gospels as Biographies and the Epistles as Greco-Roman letters 

Being able to recognize metaphors and similes in the Bible assists with correct interpretation.

Recognizing figures of speech within the work of literal interpretation.
