Welcome back to the Off Beat Podcast! In this episode, Josh Deakin “Deakin” joins us to discuss his experiences being a drum and bass DJ, managing a music label, hosting raves and how he got his first DJ gigs.

Deakin is an up and coming DnB DJ and producer from Liverpool who is working through the ranks in both the events scene and the club scene. In this episode, he explains his journey through DJing, from how to get your first DJ gigs to why networking is so important for a DJ.

Josh is also the co-owner of disintegrate audio, a Drum and Bass label based out of Manchester. The label runs regular events in the North West, giving great representation to the genre to areas where there is a lack of a DnB scene.

We made it to episode 10! Welcome to Off Beat. In this episode we talk to the owner of one of the biggest Man City fan pages on the internet, Ciaran Henshaw. Man City News Now has almost 50 thousand followers on Instagram and being solely run by Ciaran, has over 10,000 posts! As you can imagine, Ciaran is a huge City fan which leads to some cracking debates with Dan and Luke in this episode.

We have to be honest, the majority of this episode is based on football, talking about CIty, United, Ronaldo, Messi, Pep, Ferguson and much more. Then again, it wouldn't be off beat without some hypothetical questions and going on a few tangents!

In Off Beat Episode 8, we welcome special guest George Clayton to join us on the podcast and discuss his crazy career and experiences.

George manages and presents on an extremely popular football based page - 101 Great Goals, which has over 3 million likes on Facebook, showing how large the social presence actually is. His role involves talking to and interviewing fans, podcasting and generally managing the social media channels, which as you can imagine, results in some great stories. Stories include, almost fighting with football hooligans, meeting the guys from AFTV and travelling across the country for both England games and club competitions.

As well as this, George is a massive Man City fan, working at the Etihad when growing up and eventually going to UCFB, a major sporting University based at Man City's ground to study film and media.
