Fearful that his world is about to implode, Tommy jets out to Cyprus to rescue the situation.  Desperate to save his millions, Tommy is confronted with the worst possible news when he meets his old friend, Deni. 

As Tommy scrambles desperately to deal with the repercussions of his almost 'tryst' with Dymphna, he must face a furious and violently inclined Janine.  Losing his grip on things as his life crumbles in the aftermath, he is confronted by his children, who hope to steer him back onto the straight and narrow. A phone call to his local off license to place an order turns Tommy's world upside down and sends his life into a tailspin.

Having secured his millions safely away from Niko's' grasp, Tommy and Janine settle back into life in Ireland.  The arrival of summer coincides with the birth of Tommy's new grandchildren and a reunion with his estranged wife Dymphna.  A reconciliation which for Tommy, proves to be yet another undoing.

Tommy and Janine settle into their life back in Ireland until a row about renovations to their rented house gets too heated and kitchenware begins to fly about the room.  In a snot with Janine and her ever growing snootiness, Tommy storms out of the house and soon finds himself nursing a few pints in an old haunt while reminiscing about an ill fated camping trip of his teenage years.

Despite his best laid plans, things begin to rapidly  fall apart for Tommy and Janine, forcing them to flee their new lives in Cyprus in order to protect Noel's legacy and Tommy's inheritance.  

A chance encounter in a new haunt with a local Nicossian places Tommy's inheritance from Noel in peril.  Desperate to protect his birthright Tommy puts in place a desperate plan to save his skin.  But before he can hightail it anywhere, he must fulfil a favor promised to one of his new Cypriot friends.  Back on stage for the first time in over 30 years a shadow from his past throws his comeback into disarray. 

Tommy takes us on a trip to July 1991 when, thinking he is off on a lad's bender to Santa Ponsa, he finds himself in Pamplona, Northern Spain chasing a blonde yank by the name of Marilyn whilst running from the horned fury called El Diablo.

Still nursing pints of Guinness in his favorite local pub, Tommy recounts to the author the ins and outs of his decision to relocate back to Ireland.  Having grown increasingly fed up with the boredom which comes with wealth, Tommy struggles to find a niche for himself out in Cyprus.  He recounts a wonderful Cyprian Christmas and the happy surprises which made it magic for him, and reminded him once more, of the ever turning wheels of time.

Christmas 2013 finds Tommy back in Ireland, bored with Cyprus and struggling to adjust, he wants to spend at Christmas at home.  Catching up with the author in a local pub he bemoans his new found fortune and relates the tale of his very first holiday as a child.  Organised by a well-meaning church charity, The Happy Times Hostel proves to be anything but a holiday for the young Tommy.
