  • Farai Bennett: Betting on Yourself, TikTok, & Pop Culture Hot Takes

Entertainment journalist and creator Farai Bennett joins Caitlin to talk about what happens when the career path you planned for takes an unexpected turn. From working at Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, and People to getting laid off and building an audience of his own, Farai shares how stepping away from the traditional path ultimately opened the door to something more aligned.

They also get into the pop culture takes that built Farai’s audience—from Bravo and Love Island to Taylor Swift and the Kardashians—and why having a nuanced opinion on the internet has become nearly impossible. Farai opens up about betting on himself, redefining success through TikTok, and the strange experience of realizing that people (and celebrities) are actually watching.

It’s a conversation about what happens when the plan changes—and why the path you didn’t expect might end up fitting you better than the one you had in mind.
