Skarlis then describes some of the tactics he uses on crappies and walleye. He also talks about his recovery from a terrible tree stand accident a couple of years ago.

From northern walleye to southern catfish this month on the Off Shore Tackle Podcast. First, a newcomer to the world of professional walleye angling, Jake Trombley talks about how to use Off Shore guppies for precise depth control....and how speed can affect that depth. Then catfishing veteran Lyle Stokes of CatfishWeekly.com describes how Off Shore planer boards have changed the way he targets giant river fish.

Off Shore’s Nick DeShano joins host Mike Avery this month on the podcast. Nick talks about what it was like growing up in the fishing industry and how that shaped his role as leader of Off Shore today. Nick also unveils their new crankbait tuning tool.  He says that device was two years in the making, and will help anglers get the best performance from their baits.

The Lake Erie walleye fishery is hot this time of year, and that’s the topic on this edition of the podcast. Tournament angler and fishing educator Darrell Wood discusses the night bite for trophy walleye after dark. Darrell has advice on using lights to keep track of your boards, the best trolling speed and hot bait colors. He also suggests where trollers and shore anglers can find those big fall walleye.

Trolling tips from one of the best anglers on the tournament trail this time on the Off Shore Tackle podcast. Dean Arnoldussen recently won the Cabelas National Walleye Tour Championship by trolling Off Shore OR 12 boards. He talks about how he won the tournament and the strategy involved in that win. Dean then talks about why trolling can be so effective and has some great tips on how to be more productive while pulling boards.
