I sat down with Sarah Villinger (aka Bolo), two-time leading wicket taker for Nagambie’s senior women’s cricket team, to chat about her most recent season playing cricket and chasing that elusive flag.

For this episode we’ll be chatting with Sarah Villinger or as her teammates know her – Bolo. Bolo has had a standout 2024-2025 season, making her mark with both bat and ball. With the bat, she’s averaged 9.6 with a strike rate of 57.83 and a high score of 14. But it’s with the ball where she’s really shone—taking an impressive 13 wickets at an average of 5.31, including two performances where she took 3/4. This season, Bolo was also named in the GMC Team of the Year and is our reigning leading wicket taker from last season. I sat down with Bolo at Nagambie Primary School, where the Nagambie E Grade side were taking on Waaia to book a place in next week’s grand final.
