On this episode of Off the Record, Sharon talks local music with G.E. Long — also known as Gregory Long — guitarist, singer, songwriter, founder of Lone Crow Rebellion, and the voice behind the G.E. Long Band.

His new album Ain’t No Rain brings a working-man’s blues feel with gritty guitar, real-life stories, and songs about struggle, survival, and change. Sharon talks with G.E. about the move into this new chapter, the meaning behind the rain imagery, keeping blues and Americana alive, and why local music is always worth supporting.

The episode closes with a cut from Ain’t No Rain by the G.E. Long Band.

On this episode of Off the Record, I’m getting to know a Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania band that immediately caught my attention — Bloodklotz. They've pulled punk, metal, and grunge into something all their own. We talk influences, songwriting, and their track ‘Kamikaze.’  Once you hear their story, it makes perfect sense that a band called Bloodklotz plays with a bond that feels like family.
