  • Off the Woodworkx #51 The Wizards sure played a mean pinball!
Good Day, Good Night and Welcome to another edition of OTW on RNO!
The Sporting Kansas City are MLS Cup champions! After an epic 10 round championship deciding penalties, the Woodworkx had the final word and SKC and the White haired Puma Wizard came out on top! OK Aurélien Collin deserves credit as well, being named the MVP.
Today on the show, I reviewed the MLS Cup and the legendary finish of that game. I also talked about the World Cup final draw, group E for Easy? Group G for Death? I gave my predictions on who should come out of all the groups!
I also talked about the UEFA Champions Leagues that resumes this week, Can Chelsea beat Steaua again this year? Becoming a tradition! Will ManU lose points again at Home, it seems to be the trendy thing to do, beat Man U at Old Trafford!
Until next time, I am Kevin Laramee and Have a great soccer!

  • Off the Woodworkx #50 I'm Back, probably not in Black
Good Day, Good Night and welcome to the fiftieth edition of Off the Woodworkx on RedNation Online. It took me a couple of week, but I finally were able to put words on my thoughts about the season. It might have ended in a poor fashion, but lets not forget the Montreal Impact had a season we can consider a success. Amway Canadian Championship, Making the playoffs, Playing in the Concacaf Champions League and having grown the brand of the club as a whole are all things that the club and its supporters should be proud of. I believe going forward, an adjustment to the way we look at the season and the table is inevitable!
On the show today, I give my thoughts about how a Major League Soccer team should look at the fixtures and adjust their mentality and attitude towards it, the "LA" and "Houston" blueprint you could say. Let me know your thoughts about the Montreal Impact and should stability be a reality going forward? By email [email protected] on twitter @OfftheWoodworkx or on my facebook page.
On the Second half of the show, I talked about the Conference Finals first-legs. Will Portland get out of a 4-2 hole? Will SKC and Houston be more then another 0-0 snoozefest ? I also talked about the European WCQ games of last Friday. Will Les Bleus have the blues? Christiano or Zlatan? All questions I try to answer.
Thank you all for your time and support, until next time, I am Kevin Laramee and Have a great soccer!

  • Off the Woodworkx #49 On to the Coldest Winter
Good Day, Good Night and Welcome to Off the Woodworkx on RNO.
The Montreal Impact lost their first ever playoff game last night 3-0 at the hands of the Creamsicles themselves, the Houston Dynamo. Despite the loss, Montreal managed to make playoff history, the first team to get three red cards, yes THREE red cards in a playoff game in Major League Soccer! Rivas, Romero and Di Vaio will not be available for next year's season opener.
Was it Schallibaum's last match as the Montreal gaffer? Will he comeback? Do we want him to comeback? Those are all questions that I tried to answer in the first half of the show.I even have a question for you, if you were Nick DeSantis and had unlimited budget and carte blanche to get any coach in the world, who would you get? Let me know by email [email protected] , on twitter @offthewoodworkx or on facebook.com/offthewoodworkx .
On the second half of the show, I talked to Daniel Feuerstein, host of Feuerstein's Fire and RBNY reporter, about the Supporter's Shield winner. We talked about their season as a whole, the coach Mike Petke, about Thierry Henry and he even managed a Jimmy Hoffa reference! What more could you ask for!
Until next Friday, let me know who your next Montreal Coach should be and you might be on next's week show!
Until then, I am Kevin Laramee, Have a great Soccer and Always look on the bright side of life!! ;)

  • Off the Woodworkx #48 Playoff Edition!
Good Day, Good Night and welcome to a special Playoff Edition of Off the Woodworkx on RNO.
The Montreal Impact had a week-end that resumed their season perfectly, full of highs and lows, losing 1-0 against their arch rival Toronto FC at the elusive BMO field, but finishing the season with a playoff spot nonetheless. With a Sunday for the ages for every Impact fans, I recapped how it went down in the last stretch of the playoff hunt in the Eastern conference. Along with Montreal, Houston 4th and New England 3rd, also clinched a playoff spot on Sunday! New England will face Sporting Kansas City in a home-away series, and Seatle and Colorado are battling Wednesday night for the rights to face Portland in the West semi-finals. Montreal and Houston will square off Thursday night for the lovely prize of travelling to Harrison New Jersey to face the Supporter's Shield Winners the New York Red Bulls. Their desire to raise the Shield and beat Chicago, gave a playoff ticket to Montreal, so for that, the Impact fans will forever be grateful to you Toros!
On the second half of the show, I talked to Stephen Eastepp of the Dynamo Theory to preview the first post-season game in Major league Soccer for Montreal!
I will see all of you Friday, until then,

  • Off the Woodworkx #47 Hey, Hey Come out and play!
Off the Woodworkx #47 Hey Hey, Come out and play!!
Good Day, Good Night and welcome t another edition of Off the Woodworkx on RNO.
It is the last week-end of action in Major League Soccer.Yes,already, but for the likes of Chivas USA and DC Un-United, the end of the season could not come soon enough! With their victory against the Union last saturday at Stade Saputo, the Montreal Impact have positioned themselves in front of their direct rival for a playoffs spots That lead is less than hair thick and Montreal still controls its destiny. With a victory this Saturday on the road at BMO Field, the Montreal side would qualify for the playoffs and so in third place, thus dodging a very tricky "suicide" game in the first round of the playoffs!
Today on the show, I talked to Raphael Larocque-Cyr about the crucial game this week-end and we reviewed the beginning of the season of IMFC to put ourselves in a happy place before the most important away game of the season, and that my friends, is a cliché!
On the second half of this one hour edition of OTW, I had the pleasure t talk to Kristan Heanage, freelance journalist and podcaster, about MLS, the Montreal Impact, the playoffs and ...The Puerto Rico Islanders...! I Have to say, Kristan even went on to say some quite daring prediction on the show. Impact fans have a listen, you will not be disappointed!

  • Off the Woodworkkx #46 A Win, Nothing Else Matters
Good Day, Good Night and welcome to another edition of Off the Woodworkx on RNO!
A win, and Nothing Else Matters... MTL-PHI preview
After another disappointing loss on the road again versus LA, the Montreal Impact are back home for the last time of the regular season to face the Philadelpia Union.
With a win, combine with either a Chicago or New England loss, the Schallibaum boys would get their ticket for the Fall Dance! Here on Off the Woodworkx, I guarantee a playoff spot for the Impact, and no further then Saturday, it will be official!
On the first half of the show, I recap quickly the LA loss, I took a in-depth look at the standing and preview the match-ups for the penultimate week-end of play in Major League Soccer!
On the second half of the show, I glanced over Nesta's entire career, a day before the club honors him for a legendary career, right before his last home match ever, I talked quickly about Di Vaio coming back next year( it is official now) and is there a rift between Joey Saputo and Marco Schallibaum?

  • OFF THE wOODWORKX #44 Will the Power of Love be enough?
Good Day, Good Night and welcome to another edition of OTW on RNO.
Can the Power of Love of the Impact from their supporters be enought to propel the Montreal side in the playoffs?
After another loss on the roadn last week in Houston, 1-0 against Brian Ching and the Dynamo, can the return of several key players (Bernardello, Nesta,Bernier and Di Vaio) spark Montreal once again and finally come out of that months long slump?
Will the absence of Camara (yellow card accumulation) and Brovsky (fractured toe) affect the Montreal defense?
Those are all questions I tried to answer on the first half of the show.
On the second half, I talked earlier today to Hank Alexandre (@Hisco5) from The Midnight Ride Podcast (@TMRPodcast) out of Bahston about the Revolution. We talked about what kind of season the Revs are having, the emergence of Fagundez and Kelyn Roweand their place in the standings going forward. Does Jay Heap's Eleven have a shot at the playoffs? You will have to listen to know what Hank thinks! ;)

  • Off the Woodworkx #43 Tis-sot-Awesome and Houston-Montreal Preview
    Tis-So-Awesome and Houston-Montreal preview
Good day, Good Night and welcome to another edition of off the Woodworkx on RedNation Online.
Tissot, Tissot, Tissot Awesome!! Maxim Tissot scored his first professionnal career goal in majot League Soccer to salvage a result late in the game at Toyota park, where Montreal tied the Chicago Fire-crackers 2-2. So Montreal is still in third place heading into topnight's CRUCIAL game against a direct rival ( Houston is right behind MTL in the standings, can't get more direct then that!)
Today on the show, I talked about the #push4playoffs in the MLS going in the week-end's action in the Garber Circuit. I glanced at the standings and previewed the games that have a direct impact ( no pun intended) on the table.
On the second half of the show, I preview the Houston-Montreal clash and most importantly, I loose my cool for the first time in the history of OTW! Yes I lost my cool talking about the Montreal Impact's broadcasting situation for the rest of the year and going forward! You can imagine how that went!
And for the first time, tonight there will be a LIVE ustream edition of OTW during the game! So if you wich to watch the game with me, follow the Hashtag #OTWlive later on for all the details! ;)

  • Off the Woodworkx #42 The Quest is over, long live the Quest!
Good Day, Good Night and welcome to another edition of Off the Woodworkx on RNO. The quest is over, long live the Quest! The Montreal Impact's Quest for the 2014 World Cup of Clubs is over! The Schallibaum Side bowed out of the competition with a 2-0 victory over CD Heredia Jagueres de Peten, but missing 4 goals to keep their hopes alive. Now it is time to focus on the #Push4Playoffs inn the MLS.
I talked about the important match-ups that have playoffs implications going in the week-ends action. Will any team bridge the gap? Philly? Chicago?
And in the second half of the show, I talked to my Chicago correspondent, Scott Fenwick from On The Fire Radio, to preview the Chicago-Montreal encounter and to talk about the Fire's season and obviously about Dominic Oduro, my latest man crush in Major League Soccer!
I am Kevin Laramée and Have a great Soccer!
