In todays episode we are talking to Oldham Rugby League's tackling machine, Liam Bent, he talks to us about his personal life, personal battles & about his career from Amateur to now. Liam gave us an insight into how the season has gone so far and what he thinks Oldham can do for the rest of the season. Liam touched on some personal battles which he is still dealing with today and how he approaches these battles on training and match days. Liam has been an important figure for Oldham recording over 50 tackles a game regularly and he has twice been named fans player of the year.
We were lucky enough this week to be invited onto the Forty20Live Podcast.
In our first time being invited onto a podcast we got the feel for some real raw topics & got to have an open and honest chat and to hear thoughts from Paul and Richard.
We got to talk all things Rugby League including the RL Structure from the top down, the appeal for the younger fans & why we started the podcast.
We gave our thoughts on the structure & TV Deals and what effect these do and will have on Oldham and what our opinions are.
In todays episode we are talking to one of Oldham Rugby League's newer recruits, Martyn Reilly, he talks to us about COVID stopping Rugby League and how important it was to get back up and running. We spoke about his career from Amateur to now. Martyn gave us a first insight into how the Halifax game went and how vital it was to move on from the London game and bounce back with a good win & performance at home, making it 3 wins from 3 at home in all competitions. We also touch on how he was called up to the Ireland Train-on Squad following impressive form with Dewsbury, something he's carried over to Oldham. Martyn gives us an insight into his career at Oldham and explains how important it is to keep the good form and keep winning games, continuing with the next fixture against Whitehaven, which could turn out to be one of the biggest games of the season already, Martyn also gives us an insight into what brought him to Oldham and tells us about the name he's gained 'Rambo'
In todays episode we are talking to Oldham Rugby League's First Team Assistant Coach, Brendan Sheridan, Brendan is in his second season with the club after the curtailment of his first season which only last 6 games. In 2020 Brendan signed a 1 year extension to keep him at Oldham for the 2021 Betfred Championship Season. This is an insight into Brendan's first professional coaching role within Rugby League after stepping up from the Amateur ranks. Brendan will be giving us an uncut insight into his personal struggles with Mental Health before and after his battles with his life threatening battle with COVID that left him in a COMA and fighting for his life. We also get his thoughts on how accessible Mental Health support is, both inside and outside of Rugby League and how Brendan is trying to combat that with his own 'NON-PROFIT Organisation H2H (Here 2 Help Hub)', We then get a coaches view on all things Oldham Rugby League including training, our previous hard fought tie with London Broncos, new signings, injuries, happiness in the camp and a first look into the Halifax game and what to expect from the lads. We also got an insight into life working with Chairman Chris Hamilton and how his work is helping Oldham not only run but keep moving forward in tough and testing times.

We also touch on how he has now played over 100 games for the club and we get Jack's opinion on how important this is for him and the squad. Jack Spencer who has been at the club since 2016 also gave us an insight into training and what it is like to travel long distance to away games.
