  • The Market Theatre Laboratory is accepting applications for the Barney Simon residency project
    With the support of the Barney Simon Trust, the Market Theatre Laboratory offers one residency a year to provide a space for theatre-makers to develop a new work, investigate artistic process, and take creative risks. The artist will receive a grant of R90 000 to subsidize their project costs, including their creative team, cast, archiving and materials. In addition, the residency project will be given 8 weeks of studio space, access to the Ramolao Makhene Theatre for one week to present the outcomes of the residency (with a technician), access to the internet and some IT resources, and printing.   • Die Franz Trio bring musiek van Berlyn na Bloemfontein
    Avigail Bushakevitz, Ernst-Martin Schmidt en Constance Ricard het die Franz Trio in 2017 gestig, kort nadat hulle hul eerste konsert saam in Frankryk gespeel het met werke van Franz Schubert en van Gideon Klein. Hierdie twee komponiste was steeds vir hulle van groot belang: hulle het hul ensemble na Schubert vernoem en het die klassieke Weense repertorium verken, maar stel ook 'n steeds groeiende belangstelling in die Theresienstadt-komponiste. Hulle is 24 Oktober in Bloemfontein op die Odeion se verhoog met hul produksie Franz Trio Berlin.

    Op Saterdag 19 Oktober span die Charl du Plessis Trio en Richard Cock kragte saam met die Vrystaatse Simfonieorkes om unieke en opwindende musiek vir klavier en orkes ten toon te stel. Charl sluit by Yolanda Maartens aan in die OFM Kunsteklop om te gesels oor die opwindende program samestelling.
