What would make you see more value in yourself? If you chose God or He chose you? It's an interesting idea to wrestle with during this season of Thanksgiving.

Meekness and Self Control...one completely misunderstood and the other entirely difficult to attain. So how are we going to pull this off? Does the idea of being meek make you a softy who can't stand up to the strong people in life? We may have it all wrong...or at least partially wrong.

Faithfulness is what God asks from us. Whoa! We can't even be faithful to feed our pets sometimes! Yet, God has been so faithful to us in so many ways and He asks that of us. Let's face it...we can't do it on our own. But through surrender to His and the fruit of the Spirit in love, He gives us the power to grow more faithful each day.

God is great. God is good. How many times have you said that? In a society that focuses on the negatives, it's important that when we hit the mattress, we focus on the goodness of God. Oh yes...he's a good, good Father! It's who He is.

We tell our kids to be kind to each other and think it's just a pleasant word or deed, but there is more tied up in this simple concept than you may think. Is it possible that kindness created debt? What do I mean by that?

You know the drill...you pray for patience and then when you are in a situation that calls for it you vow never to pray for it again? We know. It's exhausting and tiring. What if we told you that God wanted you to soar like an Eagle during those times, not be exhausted and hopeless? What if we backed it up with scripture? Yeah...that's what we're going to do!

What is your impression of Peace? Is peace just the lack of stress or conflict? The question we have to ask is if the Spirit wants to give us peace, what does that really look like? We may be fooling ourselves a bit trying to be "peaceful".

God has always been willing to step into our lives to help us in our brokenness, but to what extent do we trust Him when we feel broken? Are we willing to see that He not only helps us, but literally stepped into our brokenness?

Do you find yourself struggling to stay positive? Maybe you are seeing the world though a "half empty" scope instead of a "half full"? In a complaint driven society, Jesus gives us the key to living a joyful life.

9/11 brings many thoughts to people's minds. One of the prevailing thoughts is Heroism. Did you know Jesus gave us a blueprint for how to be a hero? It lies in the core of who God is and why Jesus came. Once you're fully captured by this, it will change the world!
