Ole Miss football over the weekend secured its second commitment for the 2025 recruiting class. 

The Rebels might soon need a bigger boat. 

Because they made a splash in reeling in Akylin Dear, ranked by On3 as the No. 34 overall recruit and No. 2 running back. Dear’s the No. 2 player in Mississippi. Dear could be just the start for Lane Kiffin and Co. as they attack a loaded in-state class this cycle. 

Good thing, too. It seems Ole Miss fans will need the distraction after baseball got back to its losing ways with a weekend sweep (in Oxford!) at the hands of SEC-leading Kentucky.
