Lynn's parents visit and tell her she must get a job to pay back a delinquent loan; Maya tries to hide her marital problems from her mother, and even goes as far as to involve Jabari in the lie.

Joan and a self-absorbed actor fight over a treadmill at the gym and get entangled in a situation that includes a script, a lie and a lobster. William's sister asks him for a life-changing favor, which exposes the ignorances inside of his heart.

It’s Toni’s birthday!—And because of that, she’s dealing with some insecurities. After revealing a secret, she’s led to drastic measures. William he’s trying to assert himself as a bad boy. He’s trying to find someone to have a one night stand with.

Maya and Darnell attend marriage counseling, and Maya thinks it’s a quick fix, which creates a messy situation. Joan and William compete for a partnership in the law firm, which makes William realize he too, lax about his career.

It’s the season 2 finale! Sean comes back, from New York and has some news for Joan. Maya needs to make sure that she locks her phone before she puts it in her purse, and William has a crush on one of Lynn’s coworkers!

William and Lynn have decided to make an arrangement, they’re about to be sex buddies! But first they move in together because Lynn is kind of crowding Joan’s space, once again. Toni’s assistant, Shelby decides to overstep her boundaries and tell Toni to change her hairstyle. Maya’s dealing with the aftermath of Jeanette’s departure from LA. It’s taking a toll on her in the form of trying to find after school childcare for Jabari.

It’s Mother’s Day! And Maya’s mom Jeanette has some interesting news to share. Lynn is looking for a new place to stay, and William is looking for… his mother???

Joan engages in surprisingly risky behavior when she goes clubbing with Chris. She inadvertently takes ecstasy at a night club. Which scares her friends into thinking Chris is not the guy for her. Meanwhile, Toni hires William as her attorney and tries to monopolize all of his time with trivial matters.

Toni is finally on the way to creating a wonderful realty experience. She has her office set up and all she needs is an assistant. She’s having a hard time keeping one though which is creating even more issues. Alternatively William April Fools pranks Joanne in a very convoluted way.
