As an alternative parenting enthusiast, I’ve always gravitated towards unconventional ways of raising my kids. It was methods of getting back to true nurturing of mind, body and soul of the child. Well, recently we got a puppy and I started researching raising a puppy naturally (like its mother would) and found myself reading about techniques that reminded me of how I’ve raised my kids. Although it was helpful, it also triggered me back to some of the unhealthy behaviors I had while raising young ones, and it feels like I get a second chance as an older, wiser version of myself to try a different way. Hope this helps anyone who suffers from people pleasing, empathy and people centering behaviors. Energy is powerful, but you are more powerful.
