Then I am joined by Bway performer Phillip Taratula to chat all about his amazing career. Fresh off of closing the off-broadway run of The Beastiary at Ars Nova, Phillip shares about his experience working on a plethora of developmental works in New York City and beyond. We chat about how we first met, working together on A Wrinkle In Time at the New York Stage and Film Festival. Prior to this, Phillip had already been seen on the First National Tour of What The Constitution Means To Me, and on Broadway in The Skin of Our Teeth at Lincoln Center. Phillip has also been seen on multiple tv/film spots, including And Just Like That, and High Maintenance opposite Martha Stewart. One of my favorite elements of Phillip’s career is the creation of his original character, Pam Goldberg, with which he has produced multiple solo shows and performances. Stick around to the end of the episode, Pam might just make an appearance! Phillip is a delight, U don’t wanna miss this episode.

This week's BroadwayWorld Recap is a short and sweet little roundup of Bway news. Then I am joined by a true Bway legend, Janine LaManna! From standing by for Chita Rivera in Kiss of the Spider Woman, to originating the role of Gertrude McFuzz in Broadway's Seussical, Janine has truly done it all. She made her Broadway debut as Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime alongside the original company, and eventually went on to work with such legends as Anne Reinking and Harold Prince. She shares about her experience of being the wife of a military officer and traveling the country with her family living in new places, simultaneously being a mother and continuing to work as a performer. We talk about her time playing Nickie in the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate, as well as replacing Bway star Sutton Foster as Janet Van De Graaff in the original Broadway production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Her other Bway credits include Swing!, Kiss Me, Kate, and The Look of Love. A true triple threat, Janine's talent is only matched by her grace, humility, and humor. U don't wanna miss this episode!

A graduate of the Boston Conservatory, Marty made their Broadway debut as a vacation swing in Kinky Boots, eventually going on to launch to stardom on season 15 of the hit reality tv drag competition show, RuPaul's Drag Race as their drag persona, Marcia Marcia Marcia. We talk about the intersection of drag and theater, and their personal experience with gender identity in the world of the arts. Marty also shares about their drag journey, and their experience playing Victor and understudying The Emcee in Broadway's Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. We also touch on their regional work and National Tour debut with the 1st Nat'l company of Hello, Dolly! with Carolee Carmello. Marty is so lovely, U don't wanna miss this episode!

Straight off of graduating from Otterbein University with a degree in directing, Anthony booked the role of the Genie in the first national tour of Aladdin, eventually going on to join the international touring company in Australia. He was also seen on Broadway in Diana The Musical after the re-opening of Broadway post pandemic. Most recently he was seen in the Broadway revival of The Wiz, while simultaneously making his NYC choreography debut with the off-broadway production of Fowl Play, directed by Tye Blue. He is currently performing in the off-broadway hit Titanique, covering multiple roles! Anthony is a true multi-hyphenate, and we touch on his journey from collegiate directing to Broadway performance. He is such a delight, U don't wanna miss this episode!

Sarah was also seen off-broadway in Once Upon A Mattress with the Transport Group. We talk about her experience working as a reader for casting offices in New York City, as well as working in regional theaters across the country. Her next Broadway endeavor is taking on the role of Ginny Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child starting November 12th. Sarah is an absolute delight, U don't wanna miss this episode!

Ben originated the role of Davey in Disney's Newsies on Broadway, and went on to reprise the role in the movie capture of the show filmed live at the Pantages in Los Angeles. He has also been seen on the National Tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and off-broadway in his own original musical, A Commercial Jingle For Regina Comet, which he co-created with his bestie Alex Wyse. We talk about his experience originating roles and working on new works, as well as his love for performing in regional productions across the country. He can currently be seen in Ghost of John McCain at Soho Playhouse in NYC, running through November 10th. Ben is simply a gem, U don't wanna miss this episode!

As the Emcee of the show every month, PJ sets the stage for his incredible ensemble of New York City artists with finesse. Together with a group of incredible artists, they have assembled a team of Broadway heavy-hitters to teach dance classes from coast to coast to raise money for Kamala Harris's presidential election campaign. From September 21st to 29th, they will be offering daily master classes with some of Broadway's best. These women are both such inspirations to me, U don't wanna miss this episode!
