Pablo and I start the engine on another episode of Syrup N’ Salsa. This week we talk about how RC can become overwhelming if you let it and some strategies to make sure it doesn’t get there. We also talked about Pablo‘s latest comp experience with his kids - some great performances were turned in there - and of course we shout out to our local hobby stores - RPP and Hobby Hobby.

RC is a fantastic hobby - in my books, the best hobby there is. That said, it can be overwhelming, like Christmas morning as a seven-year-old overwhelming! For me personally I know there’s been many times where I’ve gotten in way over my head and not really thought through my choices in the RC hobby. These are my 5 tips to help you avoid some of the pain that I’ve seen in my choices in this hobby and hopefully help you get the most out of it and stay in it for a long, long time. We also get into another episode of worth every penny and it is a real ‘charge’ of a segment! Enjoy!

Perforamance can be measured in many ways. In RC, the first thing that comes to mind might be racing. But for me, things that come to mind are how you act in the hobby, are you giving off positive vibes, making you a good preformer or are you cagey and grumpy, giving off bad vibes making you a bad one?

Dirt dust and grime it’s why were in this hobby. In this episode we focus on dust will focus on dirt and grime another time. So who better to kick it off with them Pablo from the dusty PNW. Pablo once sent me a video of a tumbleweed going across the road he was driving on so it’s legit dusty there. We talk about how life has been a bit like a dust devil and I’ll give you the definition of what that is in this episode. We also get into rally,rally cross or rally running or whatever the heck you wanna call it. It’s a Dusty Dusty episode did I mention it’s dusty and I hope you enjoy it.

This is the BIG ONE! In this episode, we had on a lot of key pieces including but not limited to: new projects on the bench incluiding the Tamiya RC rally conversion - I am so excited about this one! We’re aiming at the Datsun 240 Z body. We also reignite the conversation around local tracks as I explore options in the Greater Toronto Area to possibly open a track. You've got to hear where we land on this one -  it’s positive but there’s also so many learnings in what it takes to really open a track and keep it open.
