It’s been a little while since I had a new episode but in this one I wanted to make sure that we gave nothing but love to everybody in the RC industry and everybody practising the RC religion. Things get off to a serious start but it’s all for the good and the greater good of this hobby. Local tracks need support they need promotion it’s the only way they’ll stay alive and I get into why I am an advocate for all of our local tracks the best that I can be. Pablo and I get into his latest adventure and we talk about what it means to be a part of a serious crawling comp. He also teases us on an upcoming competition that he’s launching. And I give ARRMA my respect for more than how tough they are in the RC game. I hope you enjoy this episode and I hope you’re staying safe wherever you are in the world!

In this brief but powerful triple threat addition of the podcast we talk about many things. First we get into a more fulsome review of the RedCat Wendigo - from crawl to full send! OK well they weren’t really dragged in kicking and screaming but really what choice did Traxxas have with the no prep drag game in RC picking up and heating up the way it has? They almost had to enter into the ring and fight with the other big dogs. Regardless, we are stoked to see Traxxas in this arena and really interested to see where the drag scene goes in RC with the recent surge of kits available to consumers. We get into my opinions around this we talk a little short course truck action with a very special helping hand from one Spencer Rivkin. Also, a few thoughts on a few other hot items in RC all in this episode - lucky no.13!

Chances are if you are in RC you’ve taken a photo or two of your rigs. The question is how much better could they be? I know mine can be a lot better and consistency is something that I try and strive for in every video and photo I take. So it’s with that in mind that Pablo Guerrero joins us for a chat on videography and photos. Now we’re not talking technical description step by step of every photo you take in every video you shoot, but we are giving some high-level really high value tips for the next time you pull out your phone or action camera. Also don’t miss the second segment of this podcast where we get into one of the most exciting draws for one of the best causes so far this year with OutlawsofmotorsportRC and his autism awareness raffle. If you’re looking to have a dope one-of-a-kind body for your monster truck or drift or on-road car, you need to listen.

Always be prepared - it’s been the motto used for many things by many people throughout history - conquerers, great leaders, legendary athletes, The Avengers, I could go on and on. So how ironic was it that the episode on No Prep Drag Racing involved little to no prep and came together like a stock car off the line - hot, fast and straight (ok not one of my best analogies) that is until it hit the 25 meter mark and swerved wildly, still crossing the finish line but not quite as good as I thought it would. What the hell am I talking about? Listen in and find out. Erik Sarceno was one of our best return guests ever and he saves the show! The host and producer - well, he almost blew it off the line.

Local lad Nick Schneider joins us once again on the podcast for a laugh. We get into Tekno talk and we talk about Team Tek-Tario - now that’s a mouthful. I spill the beans a little bit about my latest tear down and hopes and aspirations for the summer racing season. Also tracks are starting to extend specials on memberships if you’re in the GTA! Just Send It. It's a phrase that we use so often in RC - but how many times is it simply bravado? Something we say just to fit the image of hardcore? It's like the words, 'Dialed' or 'Rad'. But when you say 'Just Send It' and you actually do, with no reservations, no concerns for the outcome, and with a blindfold on!? Well, that is legendary. 

Despite the true radness of all this, our chat with Lorenzo and Johnny was hilarious. They are two, down to Earth guys who love the hobby and in my mind are great local ambassadors for the sport. We talk big air, yes, but we also get real about how they started out and where they are going. And let's just say that all this talk turned on my Tekno switch (which you'll know from my latest Instagram Reels).

Beyond this great conversation, I get into Losi's latest 'roller' offering and my thoughts on it - curious to know what you think of it so leave me a comment! And we also talk a bit of NPD (No Prep Drag) and I wander into a dream state about being able to join the local scene - maybe this summer?

The on-road obsession continues. My love for all things Tamiya gets blown wide open with my M08 chassis and a build that will go down as a favourite. My thoughts on why this blast from the past class is going to be the most fun to run when the tracks open up again. Also, we get an update on Cedar Valley RC and how Matt Brase’s quest to build critical mass in racing is going. I also explore RC Box Club and eagerly await the treasures to come! Lastly, I heard your jeers, your hisses and your boos - I’ll get on with the Red Cat Wendigo build already - it’s coming!
