In today’s episode we discuss how our personal relationships with food and body image have been forced to quickly change in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic; and whilst it was difficult to deal with — both Mariam and I reflect on how valuable it is to our personal growth. From fighting negative body talk and fit the societal ideal of beauty to finding a place where our appearances don’t take up much mental space as it used to. Our personal struggles cover our embarrassing high school moments, food shame, body neutrality and whether or not appearance based compliments should be as readily used as they are.
