Offensive line, John Mateer and Jaydn Ott were the big topics on offense. But Venables also broke down the defensive side of the ball and especially the cornerback position where a lot of players are vying for spots. • What we learned from postgame interviews after the Crimson Combine

The Crimson Combine was a stripped down version of a spring game. And we understand how some fans felt let down by the spring finale. But for us, we found the postgame press conferences the best part. As we got to hear from Brent Venables for the first time since the start of spring practice and we heard from offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle for the first time in a media setting since he joined Oklahoma football. And we are impressed with what we heard after it was all over.

  • What was going on behind the scenes with Davon Mitchell?

Eddie and George are joined by Finn the dog for this episode of the Practice Report where we taped right as the Davon Mitchell rumors were at their highest. Be warned, we taped this just before Mitchell made the news official. But we had plenty of intel and had already reported the rift that had developed between the team and Mitchell. It's also a full blown Practice Report as we talk to the offensive line about having Kevin Wilson out at practices as a second pair of eyes to Bill Bedenbaugh.
