This is your audiobook for November 2022. This story was first published in the 1909 collection John Thorndyke's Cases, and it helped to establish the titular detective as one of Edwardian crime fiction’s foremost sleuths. Dr Thorndyke is a so-called “medical jurispractitioner” who has been cited as an early example of a forensic investigator.
