Welcome to your audiobook for January 2025, "I Meet Mr Pepper" and "The Burglary in Middlesex Street" by Basil Thomson, two short stories collected in Mr Pepper, Investigater by Basil Thomson. The collection was first published in 1925, making it the perfect selection for the club’s Centenary Month, in which we are thinking about works published a hundred years ago. The titular detective in these humorous short stories is Mr Pepper, described as an American reporter-cum-investigator with a low opinion of Scotland Yard.
After listening, if you'd like to discuss these stories with other members or make suggestions for me to record in the future, head over to the audiobook club area of the forum to do that.

If you would like to read through the findings before, after, or as you listen to our discussion, you can find them in this bonus episode forum thread.
