In an episode that was gonna cover Grant watching all the behind the scenes material, the boys decide to talk about soap with Sydney Sweeney's bath water and Shark Tale (famously not A Shark's Tale). Do they need more structure? Absolutely
The boys are back and for the first time ever the movie is good! Will that status survive after watching it upwards of 20 times over the course of the next year? You'll just have to tune in to find out, but this week they love it, Heimlich, and John Lasseter (kidding, parody, they don't like him. They only like his cars equivalent John Lassetire)
The Elio and Glordon of podcasting are back with an all new season on your favorite thespian caterpillar from A Bug's Life, but that's not what this episode is about. Instead, the boys discuss the news of Elemental mastermind Pete Sohn directing Incredibles 3, the announcement of Pixar's first 2D animated feature Gatto, and the studio's latest release Elio. Do Domee and Madeline clean up Adrien's mess? Is Grigon a good dad? And how many times will the Flink funko pop from Netflix's Spellbound be dropped? Find out on this premiere episode of the Heimlich Maneuver! Ok, bye, I love you.
The boys have successfully escaped a second prison of their own design, but they were only able to do it once again thanks to the help of Jimmy Burns. Grant's done, Dimitri's nostalgic, and Jimmy spared himself of a rewatch however the most important thing from this episode is BLOCKBUSTER ANGUS NEWS! Farewell Clod, we'll miss you and not Elemental!
Dimitri and Grant are at the end of their rope. They have no new thoughts, yet they manage to spin some webs about the clothing rules in Element City, the water people's food, and the indecisive nature of Pete Sohn. Listen to this one as you sweep up a movie theater.
We all agree Clod, the little scamp he is, is much like famed cowboy Jesse James, so Emma Patterson returns to the pod to put him down like a dog. She also joins the boys in deconstructing the elemental world, dragging wade through the mud, and reminiscing on the failed Mendler Cast. It's a great one folks, enjoy!
The boys couldn't be bothered to sit through the movie and then talk about this week, so instead they are sitting through the movie AND talking about it concurrently. This one is filled with a lot of what we'd call murder in the wind people part of town (dead air) so enjoy that, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods career discussion, and how Felicity Jones was made in a lab to get Oscar noms!
June Keller (of Grant's mom fame) joins the boys, deciding they needed some parental supervision, to give the parental point of view on Elemental, pity Clod, and try the box of candies Kelsey Mann is trying to bribe awards voters with this Oscars season. Was this a mistake? Listen and find out!
This ain't no dream productions episode, the boys are on and they are here to break down the new Elio trailer, actually talk in depth on the quite good Win or Lose, and couldn't help themselves but thoroughly breakdown their thoughts on how Disney has run all their money makers into the ground. Is this quietly their best episode? Maybe, but certainly not because of the audio quality.
Adam Borozan (Talk Dodgers To Me podcast) joins the boys on their descent into madness as they compare the film to The Brutalist, reminisce on Lightyear licensee lore, and talk about Grant's bad taste in film. Would an Elemental sequel be in anyway similar to Meet The Robinsons? Tune in and find out!
