You hear it all the time. “Don’t judge.” "Are you judging me?!" "He's sooo judgmental" "Who made YOU the judge?" Of all the things that Jesus taught, the single most popular verse to both quote, and immediately twist like a pretzel is this: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged" (Matthew 7:1). In this program, Toni Carlile and Christie Estes join the Soul Sisters for a lively conversation around what it means to judge, what Jesus’ instructions are on the matter, how our Lord says He wants us to evaluate matters of behavior and how God says the wise are to respond to correction.
In Christianity, we understand that God created humans upright (Ecclesiastes 7:29), but we “have found all kinds of ways to be bad” (CNV). Throughout life, there is a war within us between a spirit that is willing and a flesh that is weak, and ultimately we either choose to remain the “natural man” who self-destructs, or we will choose to reach our full potential by becoming the “spiritual man” God intends and longs for us to be. Our 12 Foundations theme for this month is “Human Nature”. In this program, Ila, Cindy, and Alison continue their conversation on this topic by considering what so easily “comes natural” to us humans, and how God says we can get out of our own way in our pursuit of spiritual maturity.

Many try to pose a decision for Christ as a decision between faith and science, between hope and what works. In reality, faith is what works, even if God is not directly acknowledged in it. One particular brand of this secular Christianity is found in the world’s response to addiction as Lauren Bassford, Alison Graham, Ila King, and Cindy Dunagan will discuss in this program.
Ila, Cindy, and Alison discuss their own spiritual journeys toward Jesus Christ, what they’ve enjoyed most about living the Christian life, and the evidences that moved them to entrust their souls to Him.
Imagine Christianity minus the entertainment shows, the hypocrisy, and the jockeying for positions of power within the complex network of denominational organizations. What would Christianity look like minus every man-made rule and human tradition imposed these last 2000 years of church history? What would be left is the original, simple, pre-denominational, pre-Catholic Christianity that our panel, Lauren Bassford, Colleen O’Steen, Ila King, and Cindy Dunagan, will be discussing in this program.
Tonight, Ila and Alison will talk with podcasters Cindy Dunagan (Nomads: You and I), Nikki Lee (The Nikki Lee Podcast) as well as Liz Roberts and Lee Carter (A Shared InHERitance) about how they got started, what they bring to women through their broadcasts, and the Bible lessons they present regularly to their audiences. Join us tonight to meet these exceptional Christian women who are bringing glory to God through the spoken words!
According to World Health Organization, there are an estimated 40 to 50 million abortions each year around the world, approximately 125 thousand each day. These days, a womb is the single most dangerous place for a person to be! In the United States, nearly half of all pregnancies are unintended; four-tenths of these are terminated by abortion, leading to over 3,000 abortions daily. 22% of all pregnancies in America (excluding miscarriages) are ended by abortion. In this program, Cindy Dunagan shares 10 reasons why we at Older Women Likewise oppose abortion.
Thousands of years have passed since the last book of the Bible was written. Since we don’t have any original manuscripts, how do we know what had been copied and copied and copied again is consistent with what was originally given to us? Cherri Armstrong joins Cindy, Ila, and Alison to facilitate a conversation about how the Dead Sea Scrolls verify the consistency of the Bible.
In this program, Soul Sisters Ila, Cindy, and Alison discuss what the scriptures say it means to listen to God, the value of taking time every day to talk and listen to God, and how we can avoid communicating with Him in ways He has warned us not to. They will conclude their conversation with practical ideas for creative approaches to Bible study that have strengthened them most.
