Choices, this is what determines the outcome of our situations. Before we make a decision, comprise our calling to fit the choices we’ve already made, or compare these outcomes to those who seem to have it all, we should check the condition of our hearts. Because those are just distractions that tune out His voice. The question is will you turn Him up, and tune everything else out?

Just as God has a plan for your life, so does the enemy. He's speaking to your weaknesses and planning his attack. But if you're staying in God's word and listening to His voice you can prepare yourself to respond. So how will you counter the tactics of the enemy?

The best way to have voice recognition is repetition. But what are you repetitively listening to? His word, or your own? In order to keep the ability to hear God speak, you have to stay in his word. In doing so, you’ll find that you’re not the only one tuned into Him. But are you surrounding yourself with those that know the voice of God?

God gives seed to the sower, but selfish seeds can never be sown. We find ourselves strapped when we sow into earthly things more than sowing into God's people. But when we put forth the effort to help others with a generous heart, we reap a harvest for God that will never stop producing. So ask yourself: am I looking for a blessing or looking to be a blessing?

Being strapped is not our hold on the world, instead it is the worlds’ leash around us. In order to change our circumstances we have to be willing to take on the challenges we face and embrace the change it brings. If we can’t be good stewards over the small things, then how can we expect God to make us rulers over many? Ask yourself this: do you want to become mentally stretched, or will you be physically strapped?

Even though it appears as if the enemy has won, just remember, the game's not over. However, we can't win just going through the motions. But we can when using His word to guide our emotions.

Just because we are able to seize multiple opportunities, it doesn’t mean we are able to avoid all obstacles. But by choosing to sow into His Kingdom, we are choosing to put God First. In doing that, our doubt and worries fall away. He begins to change the condition of our hearts, because God is The Provider.

God never changes, but His methods that draw us towards The Source do. He calls us to see beyond the drought and draw near The Source. See God has already equipped us to follow through with His strategy. He uses where we are now to prepare us for what’s to come. But are we willing to put Him first, or will we remain in the drought?

Are you busy? Life can be busy, but it can't become so busy it shifts our focus from God. When we don’t make him our first priority minor issues become major problems. And if we stop in the middle of the problem, we'll forget the reason why we even began. So as we begin a new year, let's shift our focus back to Him and plan our schedule inside of His.

God gave us the tools to be fisher of men, but we need to know the hearts of those we're fishing for. When we adjust our techniques to fit each situation, His plan will begin to work for the glory of the kingdom. Just like iron sharpens iron, we should be disciples that sharpen other disciples.
