  • MARGO REY
Margo Rey was born in Acapulco and laid her professional foundation with over a decade of classical music training under the exclusive tutelage of classical voice professor Dr. Luther Stripling. At the age of 16, Rey fronted an all-female rock band "Debutante" (The Debs,) who toured the U.S. as well as over- seas and also sang in a 3 piece power pop band called "the Ritual" before beginning a career in jazz. After becoming the band leader for the Latin/Jazz R&B Sextet "Miss Margo and the Lost Souls," Rey was signed to an indie label  where she recorded a Tejano/Pop Spanish album. This release boasted one top five and two top twenty singles. She soon caught the attention of actor Edward James Olmos who recommended her for a principal role in the Broadway-bound musical Selena Forever. This led to a number of theatre credits including Saturday Night Fever, Latin Heat, Like Jazz, Zorro and Canta Lunga. During this time period she began crafting and touring her own original music that she calls “Organica.”   She wanted something ‘lo-fi’ as opposed to the cloned sounds of today’s pop culture environment and needed her music to sound like her rather than the equipment it was recorded on. "Plus, she says, "I feel a huge affinity- love affair even, for the singer/songwriter era of the seventies and eighties. Habit is a collection of songs with a penetrating pulse that defines my human condition of late. Put together the myriad of contrasting emotions of my past two years in a set list, and you have Habit."   Margo will give two copies each of her CD "Habit," and her new 3-song Christmas EP to LIVE LISTENERS who phone in! website: http://margorey.com/home

  • KIMBERLIN BROWN
I am thrilled to welcome Kimberlin back for her 4th visit, and her first in two years.   Kimberlin is well known for her memorable villainess role of Sheila Carter on both "The Young and the Restess," and on "The Bold and the Beautiful" recurring for many years on both, from 1990, and last seen in 2006 on "The Young and the Restless." Presumably killed off, but as all daytime drama viewers know, we can never be sure. If fans have their way, she will rise from the dead- again!   Kimberlin appeared as a judge on "All My Children," in 2010.   In 2011, Brown began to appear in Gregori J. Martin's web-series "The Bay". She portrays Dr. Grace Drum, a psychiatrist. Brown first appeared in a summer special "Far From The Bay", and continued on in the series' second season.

  • The HEARTY BOYS
The Hearty Boys, aka Dan and Steve, got their starts not in culinary school, but in New York as actors, trying to pay their bills. This meant quite literally rolling up their sleeves and working in all aspects of the food business. They learned how to set up outdoor bars and buffets at the U.S. Open. At the French Embassy, they trained how to set an exquisite formal table, and when they worked luncheons at the United Nations, they became versed in treating guests royally. Along the way, they soaked up all sorts of knowlege, earning them the title of "accidental experts," who went so far as to beat out 10,000 entrants to become  "The Next Food Network Star(s)" on the first show of that series in 2005  which resulted in "Party Line with The Hearty Boys" weekly cooking show.   The duo opened their first restaurant in Chicago, "HB", and topped their success off with the birth of their son, Nate. Five years ago, "Talk With Your Mouth Full," their first cookbook, was published, and "The New Old Bar: Classic Cocktails and Salty Snacks from The Hearty Boys" was recently published. Their restaurant, "Hearty," won OpenTable.com's "Diners' Choice" awards in 2011 and 2012. **One free book will be given to a live listener who is registered and signed in to chat!**http://heartyboys.com/   WINE CURMUDGEON, JEFF SIEGEL will be back on the show to talk about Holiday wines.
