    PARTY HEARTY BOYS
The first season winners of Food Network's "The Next Food Network Star," The Hearty Boys, Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh, are nationally recognized television hosts, trend-setting caterers, dynamic restaurateurs, and esteemed cookbook authors with little more than "accidental food expertise." Besides their successful Food Network series, "Party Line with the Hearty Boys," Dan and Steve went on to open "HB: a Hearty Boys Spot," one of Chicago's leading restaurants, as well as author a well-received cookbook titled "Talk With Your Mouth Full: The Hearty Boys Cookbook," released in October, 2007, now in its second printing.
The Hearty Boys believe, first and foremost, that entertaining should be fun, for both guests and host. Dan and Steve's philosophy centers around taking the anxiety out of cooking for company by sharing their completely accessible - but still impressive - recipes, stories of successes and failures, and of course the little black book of tricks culled from working in the trenches.
Plus our own "Wine Curmudgeon," Jeff Siegel, Food Network's Adam Gertler, and style expert, Jody Green will join us this week.

  • BROOKE LONG
    DEAL OR NO DEAL?
Before Brooke was a professional model, actress, host, and cheerleader, (who cheered for the San Diego Chargers, the L.A. Avengers, the L.A. Lakers, and the Miami Heat), she was an adventurous Southern California girl growing up in Chino Hills. This hometown girl always had high ambitions and the talent to back it up. Brooke is a born performer who has many talents and rather dangerous interests, ranging from sword fighting, bungee jumping, rock climbing, and doing aerial work. This year she has added skydiving. Some may call her an adrenaline junky, but she simply calls it "FUN".
The multitalented Ms. Long can and does also model, act, host, dance, and sing. She is the Host for HD Networks “Smashbrain TV,” co-host for “Get Out,” and has appeared on a variety of television shows including "Entertainment Tonight," "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," "Entourage," "Bound for Glory," "Showtime Dreams," "Nikki," "The Greg Behrendt Show," and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Recent filmwork includes “The Comebacks,” where she played Matthew Lawrence’s fantasy girl. She has also appeared in "Orange County," "Good Advice," "Tom Cats," "Gigli," and "Little Nikki."
In addition to acting, she has graced the pages of magazines like Maxim, FHM, Muscle and Fitness, Teen, YM, M Magazine, ESPN, and Vegas Magazine. Of course you can find her on the number one game show, NBC's "Deal or No Deal," with Howie Mandel. A new season of "Get Out" will soon be seen on HD Network.
