Paul was left in Athens. As he went about the city, which was the intellectual capital of the Roman Empire. The city was full of idols, it is said that it was easy find gods rather than men. The emotion of Paul is expressed by the Greek word "paroxysmos " from which our English word paroxysm

In the closing verses of chapter 15 of Acts, we see Paul and Barnabas quarrelling over John Mark. Barnabas wanted Mark to join them and Paul didn't want Mark because he deserted them during their first missionary journey. They agreed to disagree. We see Paul wanted Mark to help him in his work later. He commended him to a church. Of course, Barnabas' patience bore its fruit. They parted in good terms.
