The liturgical gesture of adding water to wine beautifully symbolizes the mingling of humanity and divinity, reminding us that Jesus did not experience life as a distant demigod, but rather as a fully human person who lived and prayed exactly as we do; because He truly shared in our human experience, He serves as an authentic, relatable model for us to imitate so that we too might share in His divine glory.
