Todays poem celebrates stopping, observing, embracing seasonal and personal changes alike.
Today's Poem Pop. Written July 22, 2026. No AI, ever, all original poems and artwork created by Susan Mulder.
I set out to write a full post today, but thoughts wouldn’t coalesce into anything that didn’t sound like complaining. Poetry I’ve been writing lays half finished in uncategorized piles, and like my thoughts, go uncompleted and untouched. I dug up a piece to share with you that reminds me that what we look for can also be found outside of normal pathways, can sit in the unquiet silence of the outdoors.
Todays Poem Pop is a reflection on losing faith, finding faith, and being present.
Todays poem pop. Artwork my own - long exposure photo taken passing through an unremembered town somewhere in North Dakota, 9/2025.
Trying something new today-
Writing and sharing a poem without editing, worrying about whether it is good, or not, or whether I need to keep working in the hopes of submitting it, then waiting forever to find out if someone else likes it. The days are short, too short to spend on waiting…
Peace and beauty to you-
