  • Going for 12 versus the Kraken

The Edmonton Oilers will seek out their 12th win in a row tonight when they take on the Seattle Kraken. The two of faced off twice already this season with the Oilers coming away with a victory on both occasions.

While Edmonton have been red hot recently, the Seattle Kraken has done exactly the same. They won nine games in a row with victories over the Vegas Golden Knights, Los Angeles Kings and the Washington Capitals during that span. However, that win streak was snapped on Martin Luther King day when they lost 3-0 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Most recently, they lost 5-2 to the New York Rangers.

No Jay Downton on today's show but it is still a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game edition of Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin. If you have any questions, comments or concerns throughout the show, leave your thoughts in the Booster Juice live chat over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Your comments are welcome any time during the live show.

Later in the show, Ryan S Clark from ESPN joins Tyler and Liam. The three of them will talk about league headlines as well as his thoughts on the Edmonton Oilers current win streak.

  • Edmonton comes from behind to beat Toronto

The Edmonton Oilers continue to surprise us all. Last night, despite being down 2-0, the Oilers clawed their way back beating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2. That victory extends the win streak to 11 with the Seattle Kraken next on the Oilers hit list.

The atmosphere was electric inside Rogers Place with Oilers and Leafs fans cheering on their teams from the opening puck drop until the final buzzer. Toronto had the first celebration of the night after Austin Matthews scored his league leading 34th goal on the first shot of the game. The Oilers put the pressure on but Toronto made it 2-0 midway through the second from Morgan Rielly. However, that didn't matter because Edmonton didn't go away with goals from Leon Draisaitl and Derek Ryan before Ryan McLeod scored the game winner late in the third period.

It was an outstanding game for the Oilers which was back stopped by another excellent performance from Stuart Skinner. Skinner stopped 25 shots for a save percentage of .925.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will break down everything that happened in last nights game. If you have any questions, comments or concerns throughout the show, leave your thoughts in the Booster Juice live chat over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. You comments are welcome any time during the live show.

Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff is stopping by. With Frank, the three of them will talk about the Corey Perry situation, the Oilers deadline plans along with how the market is shaping up.

  • Back home to face the Toronto Maple Leafs

The Edmonton Oilers closed out their three game road trip with a 2-1 overtime win versus the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night. That Saturday night victory, on Connor McDavid's birthday, extended the Oilers win streak to ten which set a new franchise record.

Tonight, the Oilers get an opportunity to continue that streak when they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at Rogers Place. It is the first of two meetings between the two Canadian teams with the second not coming until late March. Unlike the Oilers, Toronto has struggled recently losing three games in a row against the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, and New York Islanders. Of course, they're a team you can't take lightly no matter their record.

To help Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin prepare you for the game, for NHLer Jay Rosehill joins Oilersnation Everyday. Rosehill played 117 games in the NHL with 72 coming in the blue and white of the Maple Leafs. He's also the co-host of Leafs Morning Take over on Leafs Nation.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns throughout the show, leave your thoughts in the Booster Juice live chat over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. You comments are welcome any time during the live show.

Later in the show, Tyler and Liam go over all the headlines around the NHL including the latest update from the Corey Perry camp. Additionally, they'll discuss their game day bets, presented by Betway, and take a look at the Wendy's Daily Faceoff Survivor Pool challenge.

  • Ten wins in a row!

The Edmonton Oilers set a franchise record on Saturday night with their tenth win in a row. Samuel Montembeault did everything in his power to prevent the Oilers from beating the Montreal Canadiens, but a Evan Bouchard slap shot in overtime hit the post and then Montembeault to give Edmonton a 2-1 lead.

With the win, Edmonton now sits only one point behind the Los Angeles Kings, who are third in the Pacific Division. Fortunately for the Oilers, while they have been winning, the Kings and Vegas Golden Knights are two of the coldest teams in the NHL. The Kings have won only two of their last ten and the Golden Knights have only three wins in that period too.

The gap is tightened and with the three more games on the schedule this week, the Edmonton Oilers have a great opportunity to make their way back into the conversation.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live today for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. They will break everything down from Saturday's game along with Zach Hyman and Evan Bouchard not getting selected to the 2024 NHL All Star game in Toronto. If you have a question, comment or concern you'd like to ask, head to the Booster Juice live YouTube chat to drop your comments in throughout the show.

  • Oilers win nine in a row & Mark Spector joins the show

The Edmonton Oilers grabbed their ninth win a row last night versus the Detroit Red Wings but it didn't come with ease. Detroit's goaltender, Alex Lyon put on a great display stopping 44 shots in what finished a 3-2 overtime win for Edmonton.

The game was scoreless heading into the third period but it wasn't long before Andrew Copp broke the deadlock for the Red Wings. The Oilers did challenge the goal for goaltender interference after Christian Fischer made contact with Calvin Pickard's glove; however, it was deemed a good goal after Pickard was considered out of the blue paint. Fans on social media didn't like the challenge from Kris Knoblauch, especially after the Oilers didn't challenge the no-goal from Zach Hyman versus Chicago.

Edmonton gave themselves a 2-1 lead with goals from Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman but the Red Wings scored one more to tie the game up at two a piece. Evander Kane thought he had a game winner with nine seconds left; however, it was disallowed after replays proved Derek Ryan made the pass with his hand. The game would then go to overtime and was won by Darnell Nurse giving the Oilers there ninth win in a row.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will break down the game for you at noon on Oilersnation Everyday. If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the Edmonton Oilers, do not hesitate to leave your thoughts in the Booster Juice YouTube chat throughout the show.

Also joining the show for the first time today is Mark Spector from Sportsnet. Tyler and Liam will get Mark's perspective on the Oilers current nine game win streak along with his most recent piece on the future of Leon Draisaitl.

  • Taking on the Red Wings & Frank Seravalli joins the show

The Edmonton Oilers look to continue their eight game win streak tonight when they travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings. Edmonton narrowly beat the Chicago Blackhawks earlier in the week, coming away with a 2-1 win. If the Oilers want another two points tonight, and their ninth win in a row, there game needs to elevate to the next level.

On the other side, the Red Wings have been in fine form themselves winning their last three games. Those three wins game on their California road trip against the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks. Despite those three wins, the Red Wings still sit outside of a playoff; however, they're only one point behind the Tampa Bay Lightning with two games in hand.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will get you prepared for the action at Little Caesars Arena live today at noon. Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel during the live recording of Oilersnation Everyday to leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Booster Juice YouTube chat.

Also on today’s show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff released his updated trade targets list. The Oilers do not have anyone on the list after Warren Foegele was listed on the initial targets earlier in the year. However, the big headliner of the 25 man list is Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks recently acquired Cutter Gauthier from the Philadelphia Flyers so could mean the conclusion of Zegras’ time in Anaheim is on the horizon?

  • It wasn't pretty but the Edmonton Oilers win again

The Edmonton Oilers played ugly last night versus the Chicago Blackhawks but still managed to come away with two points. The Oilers two superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl scored the only two goals for the Copper and Blue, who beat the Blackhawks 2-1. Despite goals from those two, Stuart Skinner was arguably the Oilers best player denying Chicago on numbers occasions which helped elevate his save percentage back over 900.

With another victory last night, Edmonton has now won eight games in a row with the Detroit Red Wings next up on Thursday. The Oilers still sit in the second wildcard spot two points behind the Nashville Predators, who has played four more games than them. Based on win percentage, the Oilers are now ahead of the Predators.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will break everything down from last nights game, including two controversial disallowed goals against the Oilers. Let the guys know your thoughts too. • Edmonton hits the road to face Chicago

The Edmonton Oilers hit the road tonight to begin their three game road. First up, they head into the United Centre to take on the Chicago Blackhawks, who are without Connor Bedard after he fractured his jaw over the weekend versus the New Jersey Devils.

Edmonton are the hottest team in the NHL right now and are currently riding a seven game win streak. They've climbed to five games over .500 and sit in the second wildcard spot behind the Nashville Predators. A win tonight wouldn't put the Oilers head of the Predators but would close the cap to two points.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will get you set up for tonight's versus the Blackhawks. If you have some thoughts you'd like Tyler and Liam to hear, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Booster Juice YouTube live chat during the show.

Later in the show, former NHLer Colby Cohen will join Tyler and Liam. The three of them will talk about the Cutter Gauthier situation that went down last night. Colby is a former college player who would've gone through similar contract negotiations coming out of the NCAA. He'll provide the insight of what that's like along with his thoughts on the situation.

Towards the end, they will dive into the Wendy's Daily Faceoff Survivor Pool game and also their gameday Betway bets.

  • How long can the streak last?

It was an unexpected goaltending duel on Saturday night between the Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators. Up until late in the second period, neither team could find a way past Stuart Skinner or Anton Forsberg. Between them, they made 72 saves in what finished with the Oilers winning 3-1.

Offensively, Zach Hyman was the hero for Edmonton. The Oilers forward scored his third hat trick of the season to take his goal tally to 25 on the year. Along with Hyman, Evan Bouchard had a three point game, all assists, and Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each got assists in the win.

With that 3-1 victory, the Oilers move into a playoff spot ahead of the St Louis Blues with both teams sitting at 41 points. Edmonton is still behind the Vancouver Canucks by 12 points but they are creeping closer to the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights for either 2nd or 3rd in the Pacific Division.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are back live today at noon on Oilersnation YouTube channel for Oilersnation Everyday. You can drop into the show whenever you like to leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Finning/CAT live YouTube chat. Your thoughts are always welcome.

Outside of our Edmonton bubble, lots has happened in the NHL over the past couple of days including an injury to Connor Bedard. Bedard came across the blueline with speed and was hit by Brendan Smith. Was the hit clean or dirty? Let us know in the Finning/CAT YouTube chat. Additionally, the Toronto Maple Leafs resigned star forward William Nylander but how does still affect Mitch Marner's future?

  • Rolling into the weekend & Louie DeBrusk joins the show

The Edmonton Oilers are one day away from their next matchup which comes at home versus the Ottawa Senators. Based on points percentage, the Oilers are in a playoff spot but a win tomorrow would push them into a wildcard spot on points too.

Last night, the NHL announced its first 32 all stars for this years showcase in Toronto. The Oilers lone representative in Connor McDavid, who is now heading to his 7th all star game. There is a chance to get more Oilers into the event by the fan vote and the team isn't show of options. You can vote for Leon Draisaitl, one of the best players in the league. Perhaps Evan Bouchard who is one of the top scoring defenceman this season. Or everyones favourite Zach Hyman who is on pace to score over 50 goals and would also be going back to play in his former city.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give their opinion on the all star selections and may even do a live vote on today's show. If you want to give your thoughts on the selection, you can leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Finning/CAT live chat throughout the show.

Later in the show, Louie Debrusk joins Tyler and Liam for his first appearance on Oilersnation Everyday.

Also happening last night was the Edmonton Oilers annual skills competition. However, it wasn't a player that stole the show but Cody Ceci's dog Hugo.

You can expect all of that and more on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday.
