On Second Watch

Welcome to Season 2! Finally, we've settled on a format that works best and brings the most popular content to you, our awesome listeners.

We're shifting away from reviewing films and keeping the hilarious and often times offensive Plot Summary Mad Libs as our main entree. If you are not familiar with this segment or need a refresher, we take the plot of a film and rewrite it using nouns, adjectives, verbs, and other parts of speech. There's a 92.3% chance that Tim will be laugh-crying while attempting to read the plot back to everyone, and that is backed by science.

You'll hear the familiar voices of the On Second Watch hosts, as well as special guests.

If there is a movie you want us to bastardize with a Plot Summary Mad Libs, you can make a request on our Ko-fi page.

Now available across North America and the UK, take a stab at 2021's British black comedy horror mockumentary, When the Screaming Starts.

Inspired by the modern day obsession with serial killers and true-crime documentaries, WHEN THE SCREAMING STARTS turns this popular sub-genre on its head, whilst questioning the contemporary fascination with serial slaughter. This fresh, new mockumentary examines the dark subject matter through a comedic lens, resulting in a pitch-black horror-comedy that will have you "laughing and wincing in equal measure"

Directed by Conor Boru, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ed Hartland, who are both producers of this film alongside Jared Rogers and Dom Lenoir, Cinematographer Adrian Musto, Editor Alan Rae, Sound by Paul Caton, and Composer Michael Palmer. Starring Ed Hartland, Jared Rogers, Kaitlin Reynell, Octavia Gilmore, Yasen Atour, Kavé Niku, Ronja Haugholt, Vår Haugholt. Now back to the On Second Watch crew

This movie was not chosen by a spin the wheel, rather by a special request from a huge movie buff and fan of the show, Nicole Marie Loftus. She reached out to me in October of last year with a huge list of movies she'd love for us to review, but the one that really hit me right in the nostalgia was Hook. So after almost a year, Nicole, this one is for you

IMDb has always been a critical resource to learn about films, cast and crew, and learn about trivia and read reviews. I've always loved their top 100 list to see what the people, not the critics, choose as the best movies of all time,

Tim picked the category "IMDb's Top 50 Movies", we choose our picks, and fate decides our nostalgia review. Which movie's did we pick and which one are we reviewing next? Listen and find out...

Nothing says horror movie like a good old fashioned legal drama! *Dun Dun* Join us as we review 2005's American supernatural horror legal drama film, The Exorcism of Emily Rose. This film won our "Spin the Wheel" event for Based on a True Story, in which this film barely counts as a true story...

We recorded this one LIVE and in person for the first time in 2 years, and has the same sound quality as we did 2 years ago due to technical difficulties. Regardless, we have some fun with Plot Summary MadLibs, where one of is plays the priest.

The screenplay was written by director Scott Derrickson and Paul Harris Boardman. Starring Laura Linney as Erin Bruner, Tom Wilkinson as Father Richard Moore, Jennifer Carpenter as Emily Rose.

With a budget of $19mil, it made $145mil in the box office. Currently an 6.7 on IMDb.

Special thanks to Alicia YellowLodge for sharing your nostalgia with us! Check out her incredible artwork on Ko-fi https://ko-fi.com/aliciayellowlodge -

Join us as we Spin The Wheel on the category "Based on a True Story". I think we all learned the dangers of keeping a topic very open ended, and I think we broke Nikki in this episode.

Nikki picked the category, we choose our picks, and fate decides our nostalgia review. Which movie's did we pick and which one are we reviewing next? Listen and find out...
