Born and raised in Tokyo, Jimi hails from a long line of hospitality entrepreneurs.
Passion for food and design….the recurring themes in his life and work…were cultivated early during his childhood running around and later serving in The Guest House, his family’s acclaimed Shanghai- and Peking-style restaurant in Tokyo.

In 1986, Jimi launched YuiDesign, a boutique studio offering customized commercial kitchen solutions
tailored to the exacting needs of chefs and their artistic visions.

Jimi sits on the Board of Cornell's Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship. He is a member of The Cornell Hotel Society and the Cornell Asian Alumni Association (CAAA)—which named him the 2020 CAAA Honoree. He is also a Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) member, which honored him with the 2018 FCSI Trendsetter Award.

Jimi resides in Manhattan and Takoma Park, Maryland, with his wife and business partner, Ellen.

Opening our second season, we have FCSI member Michael Pantano, FFCSI, located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Michael holds dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management, with an additional background in mechanical engineering. When combined with more than a decade of real-world experience as a foodservice operator, he has an excellent background for his career as a foodservice facility designer.

Michael brings his extensive knowledge and wide range of experience to every design and every client. He has completed hundreds of design projects over his tenure as one of the three founding principals of Culinary Advisors. As a Design Principal, Michael initiates programming and preliminary design, carrying the project through all phases, from concept to inspection of the finished installation.

In recent years, his role has expanded to providing mentorship to the Culinary Advisors team. Michael is a Professional Member, Past Worldwide President, and Fellow of Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI). He is a US Navy veteran.

On Tap this week, we have FCSI member James Camacho located in Atlanta, Georgia.

"April Fool's day" 1979, the day James Camacho, FCSI, CST, CDT, started working full time at Joseph Camacho Associates, the Foodservice Consulting firm founded by his father in 1962.

Camacho studied drafting in school, and so his first position was to create MEP and detail drawings on the drafting board. Camacho worked his way up to Project Manager then Vice President before being named President in 1995. In 1996, he and his wife Cathey bought the firm and relocated to Norcross, GA.

Camacho's FCSI experience includes serving on the Board of Trustees for the FCSI-The America's Division for twelve years in different positions, including Chair. His service also included two terms on the FCSI World Wide Board, as Treasurer.
