First Burglar Alarm Installed

Edwin Holmes February 21, 1858

American inventor Edwin T. Holmes made the first electric burglar alarm in the 1850s. It consisted of a bell that rang if a door or window were opened. He installed the first alarm on Feb. 21, 1858, in Boston, Massachusetts.

On February 14th, Google released an emergency security update to its 3.2 billion Chrome web users. The update to version 98.0.4758.102 of Chrome fixes eight security vulnerabilities. One of those is a zero-day vulnerability that attackers are already utilizing. Attackers can use vulnerability CVE-2022-0609 to run code on a specific computer. Google encourages all users to update their browser as soon as possible
