Obsession (1950–1952) is one of those lesser-known but richly atmospheric radio series that carved out a niche in the post-war psychological thriller landscape. Produced by Chick MacGregor, it aired independently and focused on the dark corners of the human mind, where a single twisted idea could spiral into madness, murder, or moral collapse.
The story centers on a woman traveling alone in Compartment B of Car 92, who becomes increasingly disturbed by the behaviour of a fellow passenger. At first, it’s subtle: strange glances, cryptic remarks, and an unsettling familiarity. But as the train speeds through the night, her anxiety escalates—she begins to suspect that the man knows something about her past, or worse, that he’s connected to a crime she’s trying to forget.
