The boys on the Bench come out like gang-busters for second period of Dawg Bowl! First, the boys sit down with Boston Bruins alumnus and Colorado Avalanche color commentator, Peter McNab. ‘Nabber treats us to a look at all of the meaningful lessons he learned by playing with the likes of Bobby Orr and Gerry Cheevers. And chats about the pure enjoyment he gets out of being apart of a group like Dawg Nation. After that the boys focus their efforts on an amazing chat with Colorado Avalanche up and comer, Logan O’Connor. They chat the regular season, post season and everything in between. Boys and girls this one is just a pure beauty through and through.

This week the boys on the Bench are back at Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation’s annual Dawg Bowl! They start the period off right by sitting down last year’s Dawg Bowl recipient, Tony Cozza. He chats about the immense support and hope that the Dawg family gives to everyone involved all while working his way back to the ice to play in this year’s tournament. Next up we have Shannan Sorensen, a Colorado Sled Hockey players slides into the spotlight to discuss how sled hockey hockey has offered her mutual respect, a tight-knit community and something to always be proud of. And for the final guest, a returning guest, Luke Jones sings out the similarities of singing in front of a crowd and playing hockey in big games. This first period is the perfect way to kick off all of the incredible conversations that we will be bringing you this time around!

This week the boys on the Bench go across the pond! Host of Let’s Talk Hockey Podcast, Max Artis, hops on the Bench to give the boys the low-down on what hockey life is like in the United Kingdom. Max explains how word of mouth is the way he and many of his teammates found out about hockey. They roll through unique differences and similarities at the beer league level to the professional level. This eppy is a can’t miss masterpiece!

This week the boys on the Bench elaborate on mental health. Humboldt Bronco alumni, Graysen Cameron, hops on the bench to help the boys dig into the importance of mental health for not only hockey players but in general. They also break down how hockey helped him overcome tragedy and hardship throughout his and other people’s lives. How hockey teaches you to trust, persevere and succeed. This episode is jam packed with incredible hockey and life fodder to chew on, enjoy!

This week the boys on the Bench get nostalgic. They welcome King Dawit onto the bench to chat about his incredible YouTube channel, Nostalgice. A hockey channel where King looks back in depth at interesting and unique events throughout hockey’s illustrious history. They also chat about the importance of uncovering said events and sharing them to wide variety of hockey fans. That’s not all as King helps the with 1st round playoff series reaction and a look ahead into round 2 of the NHL playoffs.

This week the boys on the Bench head back up north to Oakville, Ontario. Co-founders of Lift Her Up Hockey, Kelly Smyth and Lisa Colaiacovo, hop on the bench to share about the tremendous grass roots hockey program they have created within their community. They breakdown their commitment to an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere they have created for women in their later years to learn and play hockey!

This week the boys on the Bench focus on the National. They dive into the very eventful final two weeks of the NHL’s 2020-21 regular season. Ryan Miller’s career send off, the tremendous TJ Oshie has after his father’s unfortunate passing, various coaching departures/possible replacements and they question the consistencies in the decision making of the NHL’s Department of Player Safety. Also, it’s that time of the year again, the boys break down all of the first round playoff matches and speculate wildly on who moves on to the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

This week the boys on the Bench break out the magnifying glass and split some hairs. Sean Urland (iG:whenyoulieyoubreathe) and Josh Schneider (iG: @hockey_2_blind_2_blindhockey93) join the boys for a round table discussion about the pros/cons and differences/similarities between Ice and Roller Hockey!⁣
