This week the boys on the bench open up season two with a bang. They welcome on 20 year Denver Post veteran and Avalanche beat writer, Mike Chambers. He shares what it’s like to follow one of the most exciting teams in the NHL today. Him and the boys elaborate on what means to be a ‘beauty’ in hockey teams and discuss being apart of the Pro Hockey Writers Association. Also, stay tuned for an official scouting report of the new improved Avalanche lineup and prospect pool. We definitely opened up Chambers of (Avs) secrets on this one.

In the final episode of season one, the boys on the Bench decide to take some skating lessons. They welcome on skate instructor extraordinaire, Jen Tieche to breakdown what it’s like to hold the keys to skating success. Jen is a member of the Professional Skaters Association, and holds multiple ratings and a member of United States Figure Skating. In 2018 she became the first skater in the US to pass the 8th (Gold) Figures Test in 12 years and competed in the 2015 and 2016 World Figure Championships. The boys learn why it’s important to emphasize all of the aspects of skating and how you can become on elite skater when you are willing to think outside of the box.
