The recent Send evangelistic event in Orlando, Florida, drew 59,000 people. The overwhelming majority of attendees were under 46-years-old.

Forty-six years ago, the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade ruling legalized abortion in America. Since then 59 million lives have been exterminated by the barbaric procedure.

Imagine if the crowd increased not 10 nor 100 times, but 1000 times! This image burned in our mind should jolt us into the brutal reality of how many human beings have lost their lives through abortion. Ponder it for a moment to grasp the magnitude.

Restating the reality: 59 million human beings with DNA and the absolute potential to live were—without any anesthesia—dismembered and suctioned to death, burned and salted alive, or experienced their brains being sucked out after being crushed by blunt instruments. Their remains were then discarded into a waste receptacle like a piece of trash.

That's the equivalent of more than the combined populations of Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, DC.

Or take all the war casualties in America's history from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and the most recent Middle East battles.

The total: More than 1,100,000 dead. Abortion has taken the lives of over 57,700,000million more Americans since January 22, 1973! The toll of this genocide is staggering. This cannot and must not continue! Jesus told us the devil comes to "...steal, kill and destroy" (Jn.10:10) and He labeled him a "murderer." He's behind this slaughter of the innocents, camouflaging it as "women's healthcare" and "reproductive rights".

The debate over whether or not abortion should be a legal option continues to divide Americans long after the US Supreme Court’s 7-2 decision on Roe v. Wade declared the procedure a "fundamental right" on Jan. 22, 1973. 

 

But,  Just a few days ago America watched in dismay as

 the Senate failed to pass key pro-life legislation that would have guaranteed medical care to babies who survive attempted abortions. The legislation would have effectively criminalized infanticide nationwide, required abortionists to provide lifesaving care, and ensure the surviving babies get admitted to a hospital.

Although the bill would have passed on a simple majority vote, a large pro-abortion minority in the Senate killed the bill. 44 Democrat Senators  voted against cloture on the motion to proceed for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S. 130), effectively killing the lifesaving bill.

On Saturday, February 23 rd, 2019 in Orlando, Florida, 59,000 Christians gathered in a stadium for an all-day event focused not on a band or celebrity but Jesus. They came from a diversity of age groups, denominations, ministries and ethnic groups for a spiritual impartation to share their faith with renewed compassion and boldness to a confused and broken generation.

After almost two decades of Lou Engle's "The Call" gatherings of Christians focused on prayer and fasting for a fresh move of God in our day, leaders sensed God giving a reset. Now was the time to be sent forth into the promised end-time harvest with the transformative message of the gospel. In a culture where multitudes, especially young people, are beset by hopelessness, addictions, fear and despair, only the transformative message of the gospel can truly change lives.

Most of the attendees viewed the celebration/convocation as the beginning of a new launching forth into highways and byways to reach multitudes surrounding us in need. Many are participating in a 40-day fast that begins March 1 with the appeal to God for another Jesus Movement in our day. We reflected on the words of Jesus, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest"(Luke 10:2).

The numbers are staggering: 24 million children live without their biological father in the home.1 24 million children – that's one out of every three children in the U.S.

As huge as that number is, it doesn't tell the whole story about father absence. Due to separation and divorce, many of the children who lived with their fathers when these U.S. Census Bureau numbers came out, no longer do so.
