On the Journey

I grew up in a smallish farming community and I longed for adventure.  My family didn't travel much when I was growing up, but my husband and I have traveled all around the United States and parts of Canada.  But there was one family vacation that I loved the most.

Did you ever play the game "What you buy with a million dollars" as a child?  I remember playing that game.  Big dreams were built in those days.  The Bloganuary prompt today is "How would you spend a billion dollars?"  I found it a lot harder than I first imagined.

Chores.  Can't get away from them.  There are just things that we have to do to make like livable.  Chores build good habits.  Chores build good character.  There are so many lessons worth teaching and learning through chores.  But there may be a chore you still struggle with like me.

Gifts have and serve a purpose in being given.  Sometimes we have to look beyond the gift itself to its purpose.  In this episode, I share about a very special gift that was given to me many years ago.
