I first have to apologise for the extreme bias towards Porsche in this episode, but since I am shooting with Lourens Bester, the Porsche club Cape Town President, I feel it is fitting. We have a conversation regarding his career, but the majority of the podcast is about the inner workings of an official car club, the type of petrol heads within them, and the various legendary Porsche's of the past years.
Here is what we spoke about:
00:00 Introduction
01:00 Lourens' history with cars
10:39 Porsche club - then and now
23:17 How the Cayenne and Macan saved Porsche
29:06 Popular vs non-popular Porsches
50:30 Lourens' dream 3 car garage
