This week we welcomed ASU senior captain and forward, Johnny Walker to The Pond. Johnny talks about his career as a junior hockey journeyman with some outrageous penalty minutes great stories mixed in. Hear how he ended up playing for his hometown Sun Devils, and find out what a day in the life of an ASU hockey player is like. This week On The Pond we were joined by an extremely skilled hockey player, and an extremely humble guy. He committed to play for the Golden Gophers in high school, and was drafted in the 4th round of the NHL draft to the Buffalo Sabres right after his senior year. This guy is tearing up the USHL right now for the Fargo Force after being sidelined for over a year due to injury. Listen in this week to learn a little more about the career of former Roseau Ram,  Aaron Huglen. Enjoy!

This week On The Pond we were honored to be joined by 2020 Hobey Baker Award finalist, former Chilliwack Chief in the BCHL, current UND forward and captain, Jordan Kawaguchi. Jordan gives some great insight into his career  including the path he's taken, who's influenced him, what makes playing at UND special, as well as some great stories from along the way. This guy has got a future in the NHL and we wish him all the best. Enjoy!

This week On The Pond we are joined by 2016 1st round NHL draft pick, 2x natty champ at UMD, and Mr. Hockey as a Blaine Bengal; Riley Tufte. Listen in on a deep dive into Riley's career including his high school days and why he decided to stick around all four years, winning 2 natties playing for Coach Sandelin,  the grind of trying to carve out a role on an NHL roster, and making the Stars' taxi squad. This guy has played junior hockey for teams and towns you've never heard of, is a NCAA DIII National Champ with Eau Claire, and now is at the helm of scouting for the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL, Minnesota scout for Tri City of the USHL, and assistant coach for MN high school hockey super power and second most hated team; St. Thomas Academy. Join us as Niko talks about wild stories from his NAHL days, playing hockey for Eau Claire, how he got into coaching, and what he looks for most in a player as a scout. Enjoy!

This week On The Pond, we are joined by 2-time North Dakota captain and 2016 National Champion, Gage Ausmus. Gage is great story teller and he brought some great ones for you to hear this week. He is an absolute open book when talking about his playing days all the way from East Grand Forks High School, to the US NTDP, to UND, and finally to the ECHL. There's great stories from the Natty Season at UND, Jack Eichel and NTDP, and even a bit about a bonfire that got outta hand and a 40 hour bus ride in The Coast. Enjoy!
