In this final installment of a three-part series on praying for our needs (based on the Lord's Prayer), I explore how God's covenant names reveal Himself as the provision for every need in our lives. Through the stories of Abraham, Moses, Gideon, Jacob, David, and Hannah, discover the nine dimensions of God's love expressed in His names — Yahweh Elohim, Jireh, Rapha, Nissi, Shalom, Rohi, Tsidkenu, M'kadesh, and Sabaoth — plus His promise to be ever-present as Yahweh-Shammah. Learn how to appropriate these covenant names to meet your vital needs.

In this second instalment of a three-part study on petitioning God, we explore why reverence is a key — and often overlooked — factor in seeing our prayers answered. Drawing from the Lord's Prayer and the life of Jesus, this session unpacks what it truly means to approach God as Father with the right spirit, and how aligning our hearts in reverence unlocks the promises He has made available to us through Christ.

In this episode, we continue our study of the Lord's Prayer by exploring what Jesus teaches us about asking God for what we need. We unpack the phrase "Give us today our daily bread" — examining what daily bread really means (both spiritual and natural), why we must ask for it fresh every day, and how the Israelites' journey through the desert illustrates the connection between daily provision and growing faith. We also look at how lust, idolatry, and misplaced desires can block our petitions, and what it means to come to God in the right spirit — with confidence in His goodness and trust in His Word.

What does it really mean to pray, "Thy will be done"?

In this episode, we continue our study of the Lord's Prayer by exploring one of the most profound and costly prayers a believer can offer — surrendering our will to God's. We look at the classic example of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and unpack what He was truly saying when He prayed, "Let this cup pass, nevertheless not my will but Yours."

Whether you're in a season of pressing or learning to say "Thy will be done" for the first time, this episode will prepare your heart to surrender — and discover the life God has for you on the other side.

This episode examines the call to place God’s Kingdom at the center of everyday life, rooted in Jesus’ words from the Lord’s Prayer: “Your Kingdom come.” It offers a clear and thoughtful exploration of what the Kingdom of God is, how one enters into it, and the challenge of reordered priorities in a distracted world. Listeners are guided through what it means to genuinely seek the Kingdom, the visible fruit that flows from a life aligned with it, and practical ways to live out these truths with intention and consistency.

What does it really mean to pray "hallowed be Your name"? In this episode, I discuss why hallowing God's name is the first priority in prayer — not just a phrase, but a posture of the heart. Discover how reverence, gratitude, and holy fear are the keys to a prayer life that moves from being transactional to true fellowship with God.

This episode explores the transformative practice of approaching God as our Father through prayer. Drawing from Jesus's teaching in the Lord's Prayer, this teaching unpacks how prayer is not about many words or religious formalism, but about heart-level communion with God. Learn how the spirit of adoption frees us from fear and insecurity, why our identity as God's children changes everything about how we pray, and practical ways to overcome soul wounds like rejection and abandonment that hinder intimacy with the Father.

Many Christians confuse issues of identity with sin struggles. As new creations, we require spiritual nourishment to build our identity. In this episode, I highlight Jesus as our “daily bread” and how embracing scriptural truths about our identity in Him enhances our relationship with God as Father. It also acts as an anchor in life’s storms, offering assurance, self-worth, provision, and security. The episode provides practical “I am” declarations for those interested in sonship, priesthood, and living by grace. #IdentityinChrist #IdentityinGod

The Bible warns us that we live in dangerous times due to increasing persecution and three loves that oppose God’s saving love: love of self, love of money, and love of pleasure (2 Timothy 3, Jude). Many profess Christ but have fallen away from Him. I begin the new season of “On This Rock” with an episode that focuses on contending to remain in God’s love, especially during challenging periods of testing and personal struggle. I draw from biblical doctrine, personal experience, and the story of Job.
