Black Mental Health and Policing In America are at the forefront of the news again because of the Texas Border Patrol’s treatment of Haitian Migrants, and on top of all that, there is backlash about the massive police response media coverages to finding Gabby Petito, a missing white woman, while ignoring missing people of color. Julius and Dannielle will talk about this and more on today’s episode of ON TILT.

Join us for the third week of Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. Julius Boatwright leads the discussion with Dannielle Brown concerning the question if social media platforms have a responsibility to implement automatic features that support its user's mental health, wellness, and suicide prevention?

In this second week of Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month, the discussion ON TiLT with Dannielle Brown and Julius Boatwright will center in on the increased rates of suicides among Black youth (specifically Black girls). Black males typically have a higher suicide rate in comparison to Black girls and women, yet that trend is changing along with suicide rates among law enforcement and the criminalization of suicide in other countries worldwide.

September is Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. Julius and Mama Brown will be focusing on the complexity of the issues surrounding suicide awareness and many helpful resources for those who are struggling and/or have been affected by it.

Today's episode will be centered around the news of a Pennsylvania professor suggesting suicide as an answer to racism and the issues of white supremacy.

Julius and Mama Brown’s discussion will focus on how the media and fans put unrealistic expectations on Black athletes to perform under pressure, and how some people don't think they should allow mental health challenges to impact their athletic participation.
