Being a mountain mover requires that we have an enduring faith. Faith that will not be shaken by the changes in our field of vision. Instead, we rely on the vision God has given us in our heart. That enduring faith is build and nurished by continuing to "Keep Going Back" to God. Keep visiting His word and His plans for us. In this podcast we explore going back to the place God directs us to nourish, reassure and realign our faith.
Faith deals with our ability to look past what we see and continue in the direction God is calling. Our faith is our ability to seek God, trust God and commune with God when everything else is trying to pull us away from God. It is choosing God over our comfort It is believing and trusting that what God is doing is beyond our reference point and our ability to comprehend. It is believing that God is, and moving toward Him. What follows is a fantastic real life example and testimony of this type of faith from our special guest Jacob Hart. When working to maintain our faith, posture is important. Often times the enemy uses our field of vision to attempt to impact how we move on the vision God has placed in our heart. To combat this it is important to adopt the right posture so that we overcome our doubts and fears and hold fast to our faith.
Indifference is not forgiveness. It's important that when we forgive, we do so in a manner that allows us to overcome the situation and even grow in our relationship with the offending party if possible. True forgiveness puts us in a place to improve and grow our relationship with Christ and set an example for those around us.
Way too often we get shaken and even mislead by what we see. God has called us to focus on Him and His words...What He said, not what we see. When we do that, we maintain our faith and keep moving toward the promises of God.
How do forgive when the hurt and pain of what was done is still so present and evident. The first step is to separate the two. Forgiveness is not based on the pain caused being gone. Forgiveness is a decision; an action. And most often our recover from the hurt and pain is expedited when we first forgive. Then we can focus our efforts on the healing process.
Forgiveness and anger are two different things. I can feel anger and still forgive. The key is realizing that anger is not who I am but what I feel. And I can process my feelings of anger in an appropriate way while still offering forgiveness not because it is deserved but because I am loved by God.
Faith in God allows us to move mountains, but what does that really look like. As we persist in our faith and trust in God, we are able to overcome obstacles and obstructions that seek to hold us back and in doing so, we are moving mountain and getting to all God has for us.
Learning to live a life free of offense is a key step in living free and offering forgiveness. The more we reflect on what God has done for us and what God has forgiven us we can forgive and turn the other cheek.
Once we understand what has been done for us, it empowers us to forgive what has been done to us.
