After a sensational goal from Danilo for Nottingham Forest in the first few minutes of the game, Brentford levelled the scoring when Toney scored directly from a free kick, but the controversy occurred in the setup to the free kick, as it was shown that Toney had moved the ball in order to gain an unfair advantage.
