Are you struggling to find a balance between teacher life and your home life? If you’re like most teachers, your work-life is getting so much love but your home-life might need a little bit of TLC. Now, if you’re like me and struggle with getting balance, start by asking yourself why you became a teacher in the first place? You became a teacher to help your students grow and learn not only academically but also as people. However, we do not set great examples for that. We work, work, and work some more to the point where students think we live at the school! Teachers all over the world let being a teacher become your identity, but you’re more than a teacher! Finding a teacher work-life balance will help you at school and at home.

There are so many misconceptions about math and literacy centers. So why are these misconceptions heard all the time? Easy, they are believable. In fact, they are so believable that I thought all these misconceptions were true, but not anymore! Today, I’m going to bust the misconceptions and bring centers into all your classrooms!

Go to centers! Centers are one of the most versatile tools that we have in our arsenal. They can be perfect for reviewing new and old concepts. Using centers for enrichment can take your students' mastery to the next level.

Are you afraid to use centers right now because it’s just not safe? Centers are great for so many things! Review! Test prep! Enriching material! Collaboration! The list really goes on and on. However, there are times when we want students to be on their own to see specifically what that student knows. In order to do that, you need independent center activities for elementary students that will keep them engaged, and, in today’s world, healthy.
